What do we do in the workshop?

The workshop is structured so that each participant leaves with their first wonderful Sashiko project.

1. Introduction: The history, philosophy and connection of sashiko to Japanese culture.
2. Tools and materials: We will learn how to choose the right embroidery needle, thread, and fabric – all materials are provided by us on site.
3. Basic Sashiko stitch: A clear guide on how to achieve an even, beautiful and durable pre-stitch.
4. Project: Each participant will complete and finish the embroidery. your first sashiko coaster or card pocketThere are several simple and traditional patterns to choose from.
5. Practical tips: How to continue sashiko embroidery at home and which item of clothing to repair or decorate.

Organizational information:

• Duration: 1.5 hours, but can be adjusted to suit your team's needs.
• Group size: 6-12 people.
• Location: Your office, meeting room or other suitable space. Tallinn and Harju County preferred.
• Price: 295 euros. The price includes all necessary materials (fabrics, threads, needles, patterns), instruction, and enjoyable hands-on activity.
