Marju Sepp

amateur artist

“For me, art is pure creative freedom, an expression of my inner world. Working with art brings me peace and balance, lifting me above everyday life. Intuitive painting is like meditation – I don’t think, I create. Each work is a surprise as landscapes, plants and colours appear from under my hand. It is a mystical experience.”

Ratings

Marju paints spontaneously, letting the chosen colors find their own form. Painting in the alla prima technique, or wet-on-wet, with the speed and freedom typical of a etude, there is no need to draw anything in advance: the spatula, sometimes a brush assisting the spatula, quickly finds a suitable solution. Over the years, Marju's paintings have become increasingly impressionistic, touching all the senses. We see the landscapes, we feel the winds blowing there, we hear the whisper of plants. The impression that the artist creates reaches the viewer without obstacles – just look, let your eyes move along the logical path of the colors. Just notice and allow yourself to be touched.
